Many years ago I was trained in Theophostic prayer ministry and used this approach as a lay person. In 2007 I graduated with a Master's degree in Marriage and Family counseling and became board certified as an LPC. Already in graduate school I recognized the healing potential of drawing both on conventional therapeutic interventions with the prayer approaches I had experienced. This was further reinforced as I received training in EMDR and Internal Family Systems. I began reading about the Immanuel Approach online and found that I intuitively and easily began to incorporate what I learned with clients who had a Christ connection. I then went to a 2-day intermediate/advanced conference with Dr. Karl Lehman which further inspired and equipped me in this approach.
