I learned IP and received some of my own healing through Karl Lehman's monthly professional mental health mentoring group and remained an active member for 12 years. Prior to that, I completed the Immanuel Lifestyle Basic training through Alive and Well.
I have over 14 years of experience facilitating the Immanuel Approach with individuals, couples, groups, and organizations. This includes work with missionaries, a nonprofit organizations, and churches. I have conducted this work in my own practice, Immanuel Way LLC, and with my former employer, Cardia Counseling Center in Wheaton (2011-2014). At Cardia, I incorporated IP as an integral part of an individual's or couple's sessions.
Notable Past Trainings:
Naomi's House staff IA training (Feb, 2021)
Naomi's House staff IA training (December, 2017)
Naomi's House Immanuel Prayer group for residents (Fall 2017)
Western Slope House Church Network weekend IA group training (November, 2016)
At the Life Model Works Conference in Gurnee, Illinois (April, 2015) I facilitated a "live" Immanuel session demonstration for a small group and answered questions about the process.
For the Correctional Ministries & Chaplains Association's annual conference at Wheaton College (May, 2015) I provided Immanuel sessions to conference participants.
For Christian Hills Church in Orland Hills, Illinois, (October, 2015) I taught a four week experiential class on the Immanuel Approach covering the purpose and mechanics of the approach as well as how to facilitate and receive Immanuel prayer.
Finally, and most importantly, I have faithfully participated in my own healing work using the IP over these 12 years. This has been essential for deepening my understanding of the approach and has helped increase my capacity to be attuned to my clients and listen to the direction of Holy Spirit during their sessions. Using the IP with clients is an honor and has been a tremendous faith builder seeing how Jesus personally meets individuals wherever they need Him.
